Sitting on the sidewalk watching life go by,

People have no time to laugh or cry.

Look up to the sky,

All I see,

Clear blue lies,

Burning flames that melt the ice away,

Coerce the trail to tomorrow's disguise.

Traveling this tired path,

Amidst every deafening silent sigh,

Treading down this strange avenue,

Beneath cold flames up high,

Walking away from yesterday lies,

Walking into tomorrow's disguise.

Standing at the journey's end,

Crossing that final bend,

Far away from this world,

This world shrouded in wistful lies,

Far away from tomorrow's disguise.

Who are you when the leaves fall,

Who are you when it's curtain call?

Who are you when there is no truth or lie?

Are you more than all your mortal ties?
